This routine does not require any equipment. All you will be using is your body weight because the key to an effective tricep workout is proper activation and engagement of the all three heads of your tricep muscle-- the long, medial, and lateral heads. The range of motion assigned to this muscle group includes extension at the elbow and extension and adduction at the shoulder joint. In addition, this acts as a stabilizer of your shoulder joint and an antagonist at your biceps brachii. Meaning, if you want to properly train your triceps, you must also train its opposing muscle group, your biceps.
By choosing a carefully constructed combination of exercises, you can achieve maximum engagement and gains of the entire tricep by proper joint placement and angled positions. This will prevent injury and imbalances in the development of your musculature. More strength will be delivered with each movement when you make a conscious effort during your training routine.
