Calisthenics freestyle was something that took Chris years to develop and hone as there were very little videos out there for him to reference at that time. So, what exactly is freestyling on the pull up bar? Originally, it involved a combination of different exercises executed on the bar without getting off the bar. These exercises targeted different muscle groups and were done in consecutive sets designed to increase time on retention, build endurance along with hypertrophy for more strength and increase muscle growth.
Then, when a person became proficient in the basics, they added their own flair or style to their workouts to create a seamless succession of moves. This requires that they pay attention to their timing and their momentum while freestyling. It is important to keep training to maintain fitness levels, so don’t neglect to add training days to your routine.
