Maintaining a healthy diet while traveling can be challenging, especially when you are used to cooking and eating food tailored to your diet, but with some mindful choices, you can stay on track.

Look for healthy options and try the delicious foods local to that region. Stick to ‘regular’ mealtimes as much as possible, this can be a little tricky if there is a major time difference, but it is do-able. Take control of your portion sizes and pack some high protein snacks for in-between meals.

Chris is able to juggle eating as healthily as possible while still enjoying the food that the coastal region of Porto Venere has to offer - the secret for him is more good days than bad days of eating healthily! Even though he was not able to work out as much as he would have liked, he was still able to maintain his fitness level with the insane amount of walking with calisthenic athlete, Erik Barsi as his guide: wandering through the colorful streets, admiring the historic architecture and savoring fresh seafood along the way.

Remember, nutrition doesn’t have to be perfect while traveling. Focus on balance, enjoy your vacation, and stay well!
