 In the world of calisthenics, finger strength is often overlooked, yet it plays a crucial role in various movements. Join Chris Heria and Erik Barsi as they delve into a beginner’s finger training routine that Erik did to strengthen his fingers. They begin with a series of warm up exercises, as this is crucial to any workout, and is especially true for any moves involving finger strength as your total body weight is balanced on a few fingers.

Follow along as Erik guides Chris through each exercise. Do not overdo it, if you feel pain, step back and go back to working on the basics. The exercises are not for someone just starting out as using two-fingers requires an expert level of physical fitness and exercise experience, but as always, Chris shows a beginner’s version.

If you are a beginner doing regular push-ups on an elevated surface and want to strengthen your fingers, incorporate the exercises from that position. Learning a new skill is a progression, building on the foundation is crucial and mastering the basics takes time, so be patient, stay consistent and committed and you will get there!
